Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 ( original title Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2) is a 3D animated fantasy film produced by Sony Pictures Animation from the year 2013 and the sequel to Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs in 2009, which on the book based by Judi and Ron Barrett. The film was launched on October 24, 2013 in the German cinemas.
Action
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 continues shortly after the events of the first part. Flint Lockwood and his crew think they can turn into food by destroying the FLDSMDFR, a self- invention, the water, have saved the world. Here, however, her hometown was devastated, and all the inhabitants have to be resettled. Here the live Corp. comes into play, which wants to operate the reconstruction. The head of the company is the Mega inventor Chester V. V offers both a new accommodation as well as new jobs in his company, and hosts regular inventor competitions among employees.
Soon, however, Flint finds out that his invention was not really destroyed, but continues to exist in a different form and has developed a life of its own. Because by now they arise living foods: the so-called Naschtiere.
Flint will investigate the matter and receives support from the weather reporter Sam Sparks, his father Tim and friends Brent, Manny, Steve and Earl.
On their journey they encounter Tacodile, Shrimpansen, Nilpferdtoffeln, Frittantulas and many other living foods. Quick turns out sure Chester V followed very different things, as he pretends to the outside.
Background
The directors of the first part, Phil Lord and Chris Miller, returned in the second part back as executive producers, leaving the Director Cody Cameron and Kris Pearn. The plot is not based on Pickles to Pittsburgh, the sequel to the first book.
In 2013 1.091.904 visitors were counted at the German box office nationwide, bringing the film finished in 32nd place of the most popular films of the year.
Reception
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 has received an overwhelmingly positive, seventy percent, evaluation, due to reviews and reviews of film critics of the Rotten Tomatoes page.

Change in the sales version
For the retail version the voice of Barb has changed. Worried participation in the synchronization by Ilka Bessin aka Cindy aus Marzahn in advertising for the theatrical version for attention, synchronous actress Anna Grisebach was used in the retail version. Reasons for this are unknown.
