The Harmony Club is a cruise ship that was operated from 1988 to November 2011 by the company Costa Crociere as Costa Marina.

History

The Harmony Club was built in 1969 as a container ship Axel Johnson for the Swedish Johnson Line. The ship was delivered as lead ship of a class of five sister ships. In 1986 the ship was sold and renamed Regent Sun.

The ship should be in the Italian Mariotti shipyard in Genoa converted cruise ship, but this failed because of financial difficulties. The ship was sold again in 1987 in the shipyard and renamed Italia. 1988 Costa Crociere eventually bought the ship and had it converted to the Costa Marina.

The conversion was more profitable than building a new cruise ship for the cruise line. In the years 1990 to 1992, the freighter Annie Johnson was rebuilt and brought as Costa Allegra going.

The operational area of the Costa Marina was in the winter, the Caribbean and the Mediterranean in the summer. Early 21st century, the ship was marketed as a German -language ship. In winter 2006/2007 the Costa Marina was the first ship of Savona moved to Asia and stationed in Singapore.

The Winter 2007/2008 spent the Costa Marina in the Indian Ocean with the port base Mauritius. On this 15 - day cruises new destinations such as the Seychelles, Comoros, Kenya and Madagascar were driven for Costa.

In spring 2011 ( 10 March to 25 May ) and autumn 2011 ( 13 September to 13 November ) drove the Costa Marina in the charter for the French tour operators TAAJ Crosières. They traveled from Marseille destinations in the Mediterranean, and from Calais in northern Europe.

In November 2011, Costa Cruises sold the ship to the South Korean company Polaris Shipping Company of Seoul, which wants to bring the ship into their newly formed subsidiary Harmony Cruises. Harmony Cruises put the ship first as Harmony Princess and then under the name Club Harmony for cruises from the base port of Busan for cruises to the Far East one, the ship is, however, in February 2013 in the port of Busan. The website of the operator is offline now. In January 2014, the ship was towed to the port of Gwangyang. What should happen to her there is so far unknown.
