Coat of arms of Peru

The coat of arms of Peru was introduced on 25 February 1825.

Description

The crest shows a shield with golden edges. The shield is divided horizontally and split up.

Above the shield floats a laurel wreath.

The shield is supported on obliquely inserted outstretched Peruvian national flag and an underlying standard in the national colors on each side, the rod tips in gold.
