Code:Breaker

Code: Breaker (proper spelling: CODE: BREAKER ) is a manga series of the Japanese illustrator Akimine Kamijo, which appeared from 2008 to 2013 in Japan. It was adapted into an anime television series and translated into several languages. The work is classified in the genres of action, romance and comedy.

Content

The student Sakurakōji Sakura (桜 小路 桜) observed out of the bus as her classmate Rei Ogami (大 神 零) in the park makes people burst into blue flames. But when she later returns to the place she finds no reference to the events. When she confronts Rei, she learns that this is part of a secret government organization and a so-called Code: Breaker, a contract killer with supernatural abilities. Since she has now learned this, Sakura soon gets himself in danger.

Manga

The series has been published since June 2008 in the magazine Weekly Shōnen Magazine the publisher Kodansha in Japan. The last chapter of the series to be released on July 17th 2013 in the 33rd issue of the magazine.

The chapters have been released so far in 24 anthologies, which sold more than 40,000 times.

In Egmont Manga and Anime since November 2009, a German translation of the series appears. In the translation of Björn Oke Maas far 23 volumes have been published. For Del Rey, an English version will appear in Pika Édition a French and a Chinese Tong Li.

Anime television series

2012 produced the Kinema Citrus Studio and directed by Yasuhiro Irie a thirteen- episode anime television series based on the manga. The series concept and screenplay was written by Yasuhiro Irie, while Yukie Akitani designed the character design. Toshiki Nishi was responsible for the artistic direction.

The music composed by Takayuki Hattori Series. The opening credits were welcomed to Dark Shame of Gran Rodeo and the credits title is Shiroi Karasu (シロイカラス) by Ken'ichi Suzumura.
