Communications of the ACM

Communications of the ACM ( CACM ) is a scientific journal that is published by the Association for Computing Machinery. It is published monthly since 1958. Their frame of reference is for members of ACM in the membership fee included. The circulation is 85,000 copies. In addition to regular columns on current developments in various fields of computer science it also contains technical papers that are subject to peer review. Often individual issues are devoted to a specific topic focus.

According to the Institute for Scientific Information, it is one of the ten most cited journals in the areas of hardware architecture and software engineering. For subscribers all previous issues are also available as electronic journal.
