Connecticut Route 148

The Connecticut State Route 148 (just 148 CT ) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Connecticut, which runs in an east - west direction.

The State Route begins at the Connecticut State Route 79 in Killingworth and ends after 26 kilometers in Lyme on Connecticut State Route 82

Course

After the turn of the State Route 79 south of the city boundary between Killingworth and Durham, CT runs 148 in a southeasterly direction, passing, inter alia, the Stone House Cemetery and the Emmanuel Church, a historic church built in 1803. South of Kroopa Pond at Parmelee House, the road to the east and passes to the junction with the Connecticut State Route 81 from the Tooley in the Chester road.

West of Cedar Lakes in the city of Chester branches in a southeasterly direction along the Chester Airport from State Route 145. In the Main Street CT 148 meets State Route 9, which was extended to its full length for four-lane freeway. About a kilometer east of the intersection with CT 154 crosses the street with a ferry connection to the Connecticut River and thus the boundary between the Middlesex County west of the river and the New London County east of the river. After a total of 26 kilometers, the State Route on Connecticut State Route 82 terminates in Lyme.
