Copley (MBTA-Station)

Copley is the name of an underground Light rail station of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority ( MBTA ) in Boston's Back Bay in the state of Massachusetts in the United States. It offers the eponymous Copley Square access to the branches B, C, D and E of U- tram Green Line.

History

The station was opened on 3 October 1914 as part of the Boylston Street Subway, an extension of the Tremont Street Subway. During the renovation work at the beginning of the 21st century, the wrought-iron entrance building next to the Boston Public Library has been fully restored.
