Cory Quirk

Cory Quirk ( born July 3, 1986 in Brockton, Massachusetts) is an American professional ice hockey player standing since the 2013/14 season at SønderjyskE in Denmark under contract.

Career

Cory Quirk began his career as a hockey player with the Waterloo Black Hawks, where he was active in the Junior League United States Hockey League in the season 2004/ 05. Then the attacker played four years for the team from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. During this period he was elected to the All- Academic team from the University Hockey League East in 2006 and 2009.

After he had already given towards the end of the 2008/09 season his debut in professional hockey for the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League, signed the links contactors for the 2009/10 season in their league rivals Worcester Sharks. In July 2011, the striker has been committed by the German second division star Rosenheim. He scored in 47 games in the regular season 60 points scorer. In the 18 play-off games, the center forward could post another 24 points. So Cory Quirk was one of the best strikers in the Bundesliga 2 in the 2011/12 season and made a significant contribution to the success of the Star Bulls this season. For the season 2012/2013 he joined JYP Jyväskylä in the Finnish SM- liiga. Due to the NHL lockout, there was Nachverpflichtungen of players from the National Hockey League and therefore the shooter was left partially inserted in Farm Team JYP- Akatemia. In January 2013 he dissolved his contract with Jyväskylä and returned to Germany. He signed with the Hannover Scorpions of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga a contract until the end of the season 2012/13. In his third game for the Lower Saxony on January 27, 2013 against Adler Mannheim of the striker could score his first goal DEL.
