Cosimo Damiano Lanza

Cosimo Damiano Lanza ( born April 12, 1962 in Leporano ) is an Italian pianist, harpsichordist and composer.

Biography

His artistic training was Cosimo Damiano Lanza by the following teachers: Michele Marvulli and Jörg Demus (piano ), Christopher Stembridge and Pierre Hantai (harpsichord ). As a result, he began a career as a musician and teacher. He has worked for the Radiotelevisione Italiana. He was interested not only of early music, but also the modern and contemporary repertoire ( Luigi Dallapiccola, Luciano Berio, Karlheinz Stockhausen, John Cage), also to the extent that collaborations have emerged with young musicians.

Lanza is director of the Accademia Musicale Mediterranea he founded Taranto and artistic director of the Premio Italia Olimpo Pianistico. He often acts as chairman or member of the jury at international piano competitions, such as the Concorso Internazionale Pianistico Luciano Gantenbein, the Concorso Internazionale Pianistico Arcangelo Speranza. When Musikverlag Bèrben from Ancona he published his Six Preludes for Piano.
