County of La Marche
The Marche is a historical region in central France, about the same as the Creuse. The Haute -Marche to Gueret and the Basse -Marche A distinction is to Bellac. The county was in possession of the house of Lusignan, before 1308 ( final 1527) fell to the French crown.

Aldebert IV sold his rights to Henry II Plantagenet for 15,000 livres, 20 warhorses and 20 mules.

After the death of King Philip IV Jolandas annexed their possessions. The county of La Marche he gives as an appanage to his younger son on.
Capetian
At his accession the county of La Marche was part of the Domaine royal. Christmas 1327 he gave the county to Louis of Bourbon in exchange for the county of Clermont- en- Beauvaisis.
