Cox Enterprises is one of the world's largest media companies, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia.

The company evolved from the newspaper Dayton Daily News, which in 1889 founded the school teacher, reporter and later governor of Ohio and presidential candidate James Middleton Cox in Dayton, Ohio.
