Anne Cox Chambers

Anne Cox Chambers ( born December 1, 1919 in Dayton, Ohio) is the heir to one of the largest media empires in America and was U.S. Ambassador to Belgium.

Life

Anne Cox is the eldest daughter of James M. Cox (1870-1957), industrialist, Governor of Ohio and Democratic presidential candidate in 1920, and his second wife, Margaretta Parler Blair ( 1890-1960 ). She grew up with her ​​siblings, James, John and Barbara, in Dayton. 1938 Anne Cox joined her education at Miss Porter 's School in Farmington, in the state of Connecticut. She then studied at the Finch College in New York City. After the death of her father, Anne Cox Chambers took over the management of the empire of Cox Enterprises along with her sister.
