Créteil
Créteil is a commune with 90 528 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the southeastern suburbs of Paris, prefecture of the department of Val -de- Marne in the Île- de -France and since 1966 the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Créteil. The city is situated on the Marne.
Culture and sights
Notable buildings or attractions are:
- A Neolithic grindstone
- A dovecote dating from the 14th century
- The prefecture and the residence of the Prefect, the so-called Château des Mèches (1863 )
- Which was inaugurated in 1976 and 1987, the cathedral raised Notre -Dame de Créteil, which has operated since 1966 acting as Cathedral Church of St. Louis de Choisy- le- Roi replaced in this function.
