Cristian Moreni

Cristian Moreni ( born November 21, 1972 in Asola, Lombardy ) is an Italian former racing cyclist.

Sporting career

Cristian Moreni began his career in 1998 at Brescialat. In his second year, in which he drove at Liquigas, he won a stage of the Vuelta a España. The following year he won a stage at the Giro d' Italia. In 2001 he moved to Mercatone Uno. The success came from for the time being, until he went to Alessio and 2003 won a stage at the Regio - Tour and the Giro del Veneto. In 2004 he was successful again. He won a stage at the Route du Sud and shortly thereafter became Italian champion in the road race. In 2005 he moved to Quick · Step - Innergetic, from 2006 drove Moreni for the French ProTour team Cofidis.

Doping

On 25 July 2007 it was announced that Moreni was tested on the 11th stage of the 2007 Tour de France positive for testosterone. This means withdrawing the entire Cofidis team at the Tour de France 2007 result. Moreni admitted the violation and waived a B sample.
