Cullen Loeffler ( born January 27, 1981 in Washington DC) is an American professional American football player at the position of the Long Snappers. He plays for the Minnesota Vikings in the National Football League ( NFL).

Career

College

Loeffler, son of Republican Congressman Tom Loeffler, came with high academic and athletic achievements at the University of Texas. At the beginning of his career at the Longhorns he was only used as a tight end. Only a year later he came to his current position as a long snapper for use.

NFL

The Minnesota Vikings committed the then 23- year-old Cullen Loeffler in 2004 as a free agent. He took over the role of Long Snappers directly. Loeffler played the Snap in four of the five longest field goals of his team.
