Dačice

Dačice ( German Datschitz ) is a town in southern Bohemia with 7676 inhabitants.

The city is historically a Moravia, but is associated since 1960 politically Bohemia. Geographically it is located in 577 m asl at the confluence of Vápovka in the Moravian Thaya in the Bohemian Canada.

History

The first documented mention was Datschitz 1183, when the Prince of Znojmo and Margrave of Moravia Conrad III. Otto the church were inaugurated by the Olomouc Bishop Pilgrim in place. The name means " village of the Dacians or Dacer people." The village grew in the 15th century to the city.

In the sugar factory of 1831 existing and 1852 the world's first sugar cube was prepared to its director Jacob Christoph Rad had invented.

The city Dačice is divided into the districts of Bílkov ( Bilkau ), Borek ( Borken ), Dačice I Dačice II, Dačice III, Dačice IV, Dačice V, Dolni Němčice (sub Niemtschitz ) Hostkovice ( Hostes ) Hradišťko ( Past Empire ), Chlumec ( Chlunz ) Lipolec ( Lipolz ), Maly Pěčín ( Kleinpantschen ) Prostřední Vydří ( Mitter Wiedern ) Touzin ( Thusing ) and Velky Pěčín ( Großpantschen ).
