Damien Éloi

Damien Eloi ( born July 4, 1969 in Vire ) is a French table tennis player. He was twice European champion team.

Eloi 2004 French champion in singles. In 2000 he won with Christophe LEGOUT the doubles title in 1990 with Sandrine Derrien in mixed doubles. Since 1991, he took part in the World Championships 13 times. He came in 1995 and 1997 in a double with Jean -Philippe Gatien to the semifinals, In 1997 he won also silver in the team competition.

Several medals he won at the European Championships. In doubles, he reached the semi-finals in 2002 and 2009, as far as he came in mixed 2003. With the French team, he was the 1994 and 1998 European champion, 1996, the team reached the final.

To take part in the Summer Olympic Games, he qualified in 1992, 1996, 2000 and 2008. In team competitions he won in 1996 with the national team in the European Nations Cup and ENC 1999 in the Champions League with the club Caen Tennis de Table.

In the 2002/03 season Eloi was committed by the German Bundesliga TTC metabotropic Frickenhausen. He then returned to France to Levallois SC- TT, with whom he won the ETTU Cup 2003 /04. Currently (2011) he plays for Serie A club to Chartres.

Eloi is since August 2011 married to Janina Wosik, daughter of Ralf Wosik.
