The dam Bach is a left tributary of the Elsava in the districts of Aschaffenburg and Miltenberg in the Bavarian Spessart.
Name
The name Bach dam is composed of the Middle High German words tam for a dam and stream together. At the dam creek dams were built to rafts. The creek was 1976, the same community its name.
Geography
Course
The dam creek rises behind the district Krause Forst from the Libischbrunnen. The source is located near Rohrbrunn in Hochspessart on state road 2317 below the dam mountain. The dam creek flows through the town dam creek with the districts Krausenbach and winter creek. In Krausenbach it flows from the left to the Gößbach. Behind the village winter brook flows the dam brook at Neuhammer in the Elsava.
