Dan Chang District
Amphoe Dan Chang ( Thai: อำเภอ ด่านช้าง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the northwestern province of Suphanburi. Suphanburi is located in the western part of central Thailand.
Geography
The neighboring Amphoe are clockwise from the North: Amphoe Ban Rai province Uthai Thani, Amphoe Noen Kham province of Chainat, the Amphoe Bang Nang Buat Doem and Nong Ya Sai Suphanburi Province and Amphoe Lao Khwan, Nong Prue and Si Sawat of Kanchanaburi province.
The Phu Toei National Park ( Thai: อุทยานแห่งชาติ พุ เตย ) is located in the district of Dan Chang.
The most important water resource is the Kra Siao River ( Thai: แม่น้ำ กระ เสียว ), the north of the district capital to Kra Siao reservoir ( Thai: อ่างเก็บน้ำ กระ เสียว ) is dammed.
History
Dan Chang was on 30 August 1974 as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the three Tambon Dan Chang, Phra Ong and Huai Khamin were separated from Amphoe Bang Nang Buat Doem. In the following year, Nong Makha Mong Nang Buat of Doem Bang was added to the sub-district. The sub-district was on 13 July 1981 full Amphoe status.

The district Don Chedi is divided ( tambon) in seven sub-districts, which continue in 93 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.
