Daniel Bennett (referee)

Daniel Bennett ( born August 22, 1976 in Johannesburg) is a South African football referee. He led games at the Junior Football African Cup in 2009, playing for the CAF Super Cup in 2009 and the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League 2008 and 2009. Finishing sixth man of the two FA Cup semi-final 2009, he caught the British sports press, to his appointment this created for specific purpose office saw a pure favor of the Head of the English referee committee for his friend Bennett.

However, Bennett is not the number one South African refereeing and was therefore not considered for the 2010 World Cup in their own country, but he's together with his compatriot Jerome Damon to the referees for the African Cup of Nations 2010.

He was voted the best referee of the season 2000/ 01 the South African Premier Soccer League.
