Daniel L. D. Granger

Daniel Larned Davis Granger (* May 30, 1852 in Providence, Rhode Iceland, † February 14, 1909 in Washington DC ) was an American politician. Between 1903 and 1909 he represented the first electoral district of the state of Rhode Iceland in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Daniel Granger attended the public schools of his native land and from then until 1874, the Brown University in Providence. After studying law at Boston University and its made ​​in 1877 admitted to the bar he began in Providence to work in his new profession. Between 1887 and 1890 he was an administrative employee (Reading clerk ) in the House of Representatives from Rhode Iceland. Thereafter, he served from 1890 to 1901 as treasurer of Providence. Granger was a member of the Democratic Party. In the congressional elections of 1902 he was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives.
