Daniel Örlund

Daniel Örlund ( born June 23, 1980 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish football player. The goalkeeper won the Double in 2009 with AIK of the Swedish Championship and National Cup.

Career

Örlund played in the Youth for Enskede IK, before the goalkeeper moved to the youth of Spårvägens FF 1996. There, he advanced to the 1999 as a junior player in the squad to the men's team. After the club was relegated to Division 2, he was able in 2000 to fight for the position in the goal and managed with the club return to the Division 1

In 2002 Örlund in the Allsvenskan AIK to. First, he was spare man behind Daniel Andersson and did not play. Even as the competitor in the following season left the club, he stayed behind the new purchase Håkan Svensson substitute. In the 2004 he was loaned to the cooperation partner FC Café Opera in the Superettan. Here he was as a goalkeeper between the posts and was brought back shortly before the end of the season AIK to 31 October in a 3-1 win over Trelleborg FF to celebrate his debut in the first division.

After relegation to the second division AIKs Örlund be established as first-choice goalkeeper in the Swedish tradition club. With the club he managed the direct return to the first division, where he has acted as a regular force. In the season of 2006 he was awarded with the club promoted as runners-up behind IF Elfsborg and end of the season as Sweden's Goalkeeper of the Year.

After three and a half years as the first man between the posts Örlund was temporarily replaced in the summer of 2008 by Nicklas Bergh. After the club had also committed another goalkeeper with the Finn Tomi Maanoja, he decided to change clubs and went on loan to Norway for Fredrikstad FK. By the end of the season he was in the Tippeligaen as a regular force in goal, but missed with the club as a table runner behind Stabæk Fotball the Norwegian title.

After the season conclusion Örlund returned to Sweden for AIK. Under coach Mikael Stahre he was again first-choice goalkeeper in the Swedish tradition club and competed in all 30 games of the season on the court. Without a game to miss a second, he won with the team by Per Karlsson, Gabriel Özkan, Kenny Pavey and Daniel Tjernström the Lennart Johansson - Cup for the Swedish championship title. At times in the cup by the second goalkeeper Nicklas Bergh, he moved with the club to the final one, where he remained without conceding a goal in a 2-0 win over IFK Gothenburg goals from Mauro Iván Óbolo and Antônio Flávio.

Shortly after the end of the season Örlund announced another change to Norway and went to the Swedish coach Erik Hamrén supervised club Rosenborg Trondheim.
