Darja Å vajger

Darya Švajger (* 1965 in Maribor ), sometimes written without caron, is a Slovenian singer.

After a classical vocal training in Graz, she was at the Slovenian National Theatre in Maribor active and also performed as a jazz singer.

In Europe it was known by two participations in the Euro Vision Song Contest. 1995 reach their song Prisluhni mi seventh place in Dublin. That is until today Slovenia best placement in this competition. In 1999, she reached the 11th place with Se tisoč let or in the English version, was in the sung in Jerusalem, For a Thousand Years.
