Action

Daniel is an outsider, living in Copenhagen. He earns his little money by spraying love messages in order to work public house walls. His opinionated friend Roger, called Grandpa, working as an assistant in a sleep laboratory and invests his spare time in a football referee training. Grandpa raves for Francesco, who works in a bakery. Because of his shyness, he did not make it to talk to her.

When he finally wants to dare but, Francesco is intoxicated by psychedelic mushrooms at the store. Grandpa loses his nerve and flees, Daniel, however, she brings home a few days and come back later to inquire after her health. After another meeting with Francesco at a cafe he realizes that he is in love and sprayed from now own love messages on walls.

For a new job he goes to the police in the case and sentenced to probation. After being kicked out of his apartment, he was raised in grandpa's sleep lab for a long-term test available to have at least a bed.

One day, it is clear that Francesco Daniel is pregnant. Daniel fled to Spain, as it the task of his father, does not look grown up. When he returns, he brings Franc to abortion in a clinic. On the way there, however, it suddenly becomes aware in a moment of clarity, that it is time to take responsibility and decide against abortion.

Style

The whole film is shot in black and white. Only the scene in which Daniel on the way to the abortion clinic while waiting at the Knippelsbro look Franc is held colored, whereby the specificity of the moment stands out particularly clearly the audience in the eye.

Reviews

"The fact that the film's action takes place very predictable, is because it is easy to get over, that the figure of Grandpa gets a little too ridiculous and is not embodied so convincingly by Nicolas Bro as Daniel and Francesca by Jacob Cedergren and Tilly Scott Pedersen, just a bit annoying. Especially since " Dark Horse " is much more than just stylish surface. His photographs show impressive insights into the inner worlds of his characters and let the audience their actions seem more comprehensible than it might awkward in the dialogues packed explanations. "

" The populated with sympathetic antihero tragicomedy is gradually moving towards a delicate floating rhythm and opens it for meditative calm moments. Told with winking humor, the film develops his story in detail, clearly separated from each other chapters. "
