Dash Berlin

Dash Berlin ( born November 8, 1979 in The Hague, real name Jeff X. Sutorius ) is a Dutch trance DJ and producer. The production team includes also Eelke Kalberg and Sebastiaan Molijn who have participated already at various dance acts (including Alice DeeJay ).

Biography

In 2007 Dash Berlin released his debut single, " Till the Sky Falls Down" on the label Captivating Sounds, a sub-label of Armada Music. The track was 10 weeks in the Dutch charts and reached number 36 Armin van Buuren played the track in his A State Of Trance Year Mix 2007.

However, the major breakthrough came in 2009 with his successor singles " Man on the Run" and " Waiting" as well as his debut album "The New Daylight". He was nominated this year at the International Dance Music Awards ( IDMA ) as " Best Break -Through Artist". It was also founded his own sub label of Armada Music, " Aropa Records ". The single " Waiting", published in 2009 Dash Berlin with Australian singer Emma Hewitt, reached number 25 in the Belgian singles chart and became available on the Internet platform YouTube has been more than 18 million times. The IDMA 2010, the song was awarded Best HiNRG / Euro track. In the Best Trance Track category Dash Berlin was nominated twice, with "Waiting" and " Man on the Run".

Dash Berlin published in March 2010, his first official DJ mix album, a double album, titled "United Destination". A year later came the sequel, also a DJ mix double album, called "United Destination 2011 ". Included on this album was, among others, the single " Disarm Yourself", which was created in collaboration with Emma Hewitt and its accompanying video was filmed in Australia. Only a few weeks later there occurred large floods. Dash Berlin and Emma Hewitt decided to give all proceeds from the song " Disarm Yourself" in the Flood Relief Fund. "United Destination 2011 " also contains the track "Earth Hour". The accompanying video contains quotes from Severn Suzuki.

From January to December 2011 published Dash Berlin once a month a compilation, " Dash Berlin Top 15 ", with the supposedly best trance tracks of the month. This monthly compilation was continued in the following year under the title " Dash Berlin Top 20 " and ended in December 2012.

27 April 2012 globally released their second Dash Berlin album called "# musicislife ", which reached number 38 in the Dutch album charts. Included on this album are 13 tracks, and include the following guest musicians there: Jonathan Mendelsohn, Chris Madin, Sarah Howells, Kate Walsh and Emma Hewitt again. In addition, this album contains the single " Apollo Road ", which produced Dash Berlin with ATB. Following the release of the album "# musicislife " followed early May 2012 on a world tour starting in Mexico.

Dash Berlin became effective on January 16, 2013 in Mexico City was the first DJ Armin van Buuren for ' A State Of Trance 600 "on. Performances in Minsk, Sofia, Beirut, Guatemala and Den Bosch followed.

End of August 2013, the double album "# # musicislife Deluxe " was released. In addition to the 13 known tracks from the previous album "# musicislife " contains "# musicislife # Deluxe" and the 2013 newly produced singles " Steal You Away " and " Jar of Hearts ", a second CD with all the remixes (including Ferry Corsten ) and a DVD with all official music videos. In the Netherlands this album regarded as collector's item among fans was represented two weeks in the album charts.

At the annual worldwide ranking of DJ Mag to Dash Berlin placed in 2013 for the third year in a row among the top 10 DJs.
