David Abdul

David Abdul ( born August 17, 1989 in Aruba, Kingdom of the Netherlands ) is a arubanischer Soccer player on the position of a striker. Until the 2010/11 season he played for Sparta Rotterdam in the Eerste Divisie, the second division in Dutch football.

David's three years older brother Eric is also active in football, but not as his brother as a field player, but as a goalkeeper. He stood for some time also the pro squad of Sparta Rotterdam, but came to no duty stake.

Club career

Born on the southern Caribbean island of Aruba Abdul began his active career as a football player at youth level from Sparta Rotterdam and came from there in the 2008 /09 season for the first time in the squad of the professional team with gaming operations in the highest Dutch football league, the Eredivisie. After taking in the first team Abdul was a reserve player and came alongside players such as Rydell Poepon, Edouard Duplan, Joshua John, Joey Godee or Charles Dissels only very rarely in the forward line of the second largest Rotterdam football club to use. Made his professional debut, the then 19 -year-old January 18, 2009 in a 1-1 home draw against FC Groningen when he came onto the lawn from the 75 minutes for Joshua John. Another three short assignments followed until the end of the season in which the team reached the 13th place in the final standings. In the KNVB Cup of the season 2008/ 09 he played in the knockout round defeat against NEC Nijmegen for about half an hour. In the 2009/10 season was followed by two more championship inserts the learned outside striker.
