David Curson

David Alan Curson (* November 4, 1948 in Toledo, Ohio ) is an American politician and trade union official. From 6 November 2012 to January 3, 2013, he represented the state of Michigan in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

David Curson attended high school until 1966. After that, he began studying at the University of Toledo, but he dropped out to serve during the Vietnam War in the United States Marine Corps. After his military service he worked for the Ford plant in Ypsilanti (Michigan). He was also involved in the union movement for the employees in the automotive industry. He was representative of the United Auto Workers and was also active internationally in the trade union movement.

Following the resignation of Mr Thaddeus McCotter Curson was at the due election for the eleventh seat of Michigan as his successor in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he took up his new mandate on 6 November 2012. He won against Republican Kerry Bentivolio. At the same time held regular congressional elections Curson not approached. Here Syed Taj candidate for the Democrats, the Bentivolio but lost. Thus Cursons mandate ended on January 3, 2013, and went to the Republicans.

David Curson is married and father of three children.
