David Dicks

David Griffiths Dicks (born 6 October 1978) is an Australian sailor. He became known that in 1996 he became the youngest person at that time non-stop and single-handed circumnavigated the world.

For his record David Dicks on 26 February 1996 the port of Fremantle in Australia and returned to the circumnavigation on November 17, 1996 back there. He used a Seaflight baptized in the name of S & S 34, as they were used, inter alia, by Jon Sanders, Jesse Martin and Jessica Watson for their circumnavigations For this circumnavigation. On his arrival on 17 November David Dicks 18 years and 41 days old.

In 1999, Dicks, the Medal of the Order of Australia and in 2000 the Australian Sports Medal.
