David Lindsay-Abaire

David Lindsay - Abaire ( born November 30, 1969 in Boston, Massachusetts) is an American screenwriter and playwright who was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for drama for his play Rabbit Hole 2007.

Life

Lindsay - Abaire studied post-school at Sarah Lawrence College and the Juilliard School. After completing his studies, he began his career as a playwright and Fuddy Meers 1998 published his first stage work, which includes many more pieces followed. For his play Rabbit Hole, he received the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for drama. In addition, he was the Tony Award in 2009 for the musical Shrek - The Musical nominated twice and although the one in the category of Best Musical, and on the other with composer Jeanine Tesori in the category of Best Original Score.

In addition, he began in 2005 to work as a scriptwriter and wrote the screenplay for Robots his debut in this category. He also wrote the screenplay for the based on the novel by Cornelia Funke created and directed by Iain Softley film Inkheart (2008). Together with Jeanine Tesori he also wrote the screenplay for the 2010 directed by Tom McGrath CGI animation film Megamind. 2010 was a film adaptation of Rabbit Hole by director John Cameron Mitchell with Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhart in the lead roles.
