Dayron Robles
Dayron Robles ( born November 19, 1986 in Guantánamo ) is a Cuban athlete. He was Olympic champion in 2008 and improved the world record in the 110- meter hurdles. In 2010 he was World Indoor champion.
Life
According to a sixth place finish at the World Junior Championships 2003 Robles was 2004 runner up in the Junior World Championships. In 13.77 s he clearly lagged behind the winner, Aries Merritt of the United States, back, who had won in 13.56 s. 2005 Robles won in the Pan American Junior Championships in 13.46 s, finishing at the Central American and Caribbean Championships in second place behind his fellow countryman Yoel Hernández. Disagreement with the Cuban Athletics Federation
