The De Grolsch Veste ( Grolsch The German Fortress ) is a football stadium in Enschede, Overijssel province of the Netherlands. Owner of FC Twente Enschede. From 1998 to 2008 it was called the " Arke Stadium ". It is located near the University of Twente. The stadium is fully equipped with seats and offers 30 205 spectators. In addition, a soil heating is installed. On October 1, 2006 was installed two video scoreboards.

History

The arena replaced the " Diekman stadium," starred in the Twente 1956-1998. One thought to renovate the old stadium and expand. Due to the growing fan base and the unfavorable location but it was decided to build a new. The foundation stone was laid on 31 January 1997. Extension
