The Dement Township is one of 24 townships in Ogle County in the north of the U.S. state of Illinois.
Geography
The Dement Township is located in northern Illinois about 115 kilometers west of Chicago. The border with Wisconsin is located approximately 65 km to the north; the Mississippi River, which forms the border with Iowa, is located approximately 110 km to the west.
The Dement Township is located at 41 ° 55'56 " north latitude and 88 ° 59'49 " west longitude and extends over 90.4 km ².
The Dement Township is located in the extreme southeast of Ogle County and is bordered to the south by the Lee County and on the east by the DeKalb County, which already belongs to the Chicago metropolitan area.
