The Rockvale Township is one of 24 townships in Ogle County in the north of the U.S. state of Illinois.

Geography

The Rockvale Township is located in northern Illinois on both sides of the Rock River about 150 km west of Chicago. The border with Wisconsin is located approximately 55 km to the north; the Mississippi River, which forms the border with Iowa, is located about 85 km west.

The Rockvale Township is located at 42 ° 04'16 " north latitude and 89 ° 20'15 " west longitude and extending over 93 km ², spread to 93 km ² of land and 3 km ² water surface.

The Rockvale Township is located in the center of the Ogle County and is bordered to the northwest on the Leaf River Township, in the northeast on the Byron Township, on the east by the Marion Township, to the southeast by the Pine skirt Township, on the south by the Oregon - Nashua Township, on the southwest by the Pine Creek Township and on the west by Mount Morris Township.

In the census in 2010, the township had 1770 inhabitants. In the Rockvale Township no settlements exist; the population is scattered over the entire area of the Township.
