Democratic Front for the Reunification of the Fatherland

The Democratic Front for the Reunification of the country is a coalition of several parties in North Korea under the leadership of a single party, the Workers' Party of Korea ( WPK ).

It was founded on 22 July 1946.

Organization

It consists of the Workers' Party of Korea and two other block parties, namely the Korean Social Democratic Party ( KSDP ) and the Party of the Young Friends of the Chondoism.

These parties thus form a united front, also called National Front. A real opposition does not exist in the country. North Korea is so despite the three parties de facto one-party system.

Similarly, the so-called " block parties " in the GDR is the KSDP, but also the JFCD, only to cause the appearance of a multi-party system and so the dictatorial system to give a democratic veneer.
