Denise Biellmann

Denise Biellmann ( born December 11, 1962 in Zurich ) is a Swiss former figure skater, which was launched in a single run. It is the world champion of 1981 and the European Championships of 1981.

At eight years old Denise Biellmann won her first international competition in Belgium, with eleven years she was Swiss junior champion. At 14, she won second place at their first European Championship in Kürsegment. 1979-1981 Biellmann was Swiss champion. Their first international medal she won bronze at the European Championships 1979 in Zagreb behind Anett Pötzsch and Dagmar Lurz. At the 1980 Olympic Games in Lake Placid, she was, although she had won the freestyle, fourth. In 1981 was their most successful year. It was not until she was in Innsbruck European champion and then in Hartford World Champion in front of Elaine Zayak and Claudia Kristofics binder.

Biellmann was the first woman in the world who could jump a triple Lutz. In 1981, she starred alongside Thomas Gottschalk and Mike Krüger in the film comedy pirate Powerplay with. In fall 2006 and winter 2007/2008 Biellmann entered into the ProSieben series Stars on ice. In the show on January 17, 2008, she crashed heavily and dislocated a shoulder out.

2007 Biellmann joined with Sven Ninnemann for Switzerland at the Euro Vision Dance Contest. With their performances of Paso Dobles and Swings However, the couple could not convince the European audience and came up with zero points on the last place.
