Deny (Band)

Deny (or Deny ) is a post-hardcore band from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The group, which currently consists of Nazareno Gomez ( Screamings ), Joaquín Ortega ( guitar, vocals), Mateo Sevillano ( electric guitar ), Juan Pablo Uberti (bass, vocals) and Agustín Dupuis (drums ) which was in founded in May 2007 and previously released an EP, an album and a DVD. These are available only in Latin America, but can their current label, Pinhead Records, be bought outside South America.

The group has been playing at the national level and also played several concerts in Chile and Uruguay. At concerts DENY has already performed with Silverstein, Alesana, Memphis May Fire, August Burns Red, Blessthefall and A Day to Remember. The lyrics of the group are all written up to three demo tracks, in Spanish.

History

2007-2011: Foundation and "La Distancia "

Deny was in Buenos Aires, founded in 2007, the capital of Argentina and consists of six musicians Nazareno Gomez ( vocals), Joaquín Ortega ( guitar, vocals), Mateo Sevillano (guitar), Juan Pablo Uberti (bass, vocals) and Agustín Dupuis ( drums). Jonathan Perez (keyboards) left the group early in the year 2013.

In 2009 they had the debut EP La Distancia on inmune Records. The EP was produced by Javier Casas (Nueva Ética ) and Matias Espinoza ( Dar Sangre ). On 11 February 2009, the group played together with Coralie, Dar Sangre, Silverstein and Alesana on the Súper rock de Capital Federal, Buenos Aires. The rest of the year, the Group spent thus making their EP known throughout Buenos Aires. In 2010, the group played at No Soy Rock, a rock music festival, occur on the annual rate of the 30 bands from across the hardcore punk scene. 24 August 2010, the band played as the opening act of August Burns Red and Blessthefall at the Roxy in Palermo, a suburb of Buenos Aires.

2011-2013: " Reino de tormentas "

On 12 June 2011, the group played as the opening act for A Day to Remember in the "What Separate Me from You Tour " at the Teatro Colegiales in Buenos Aires. On September 23, 2011 appeared with Reino de tormentas the debut album about Pinhead Records, to which the group has now changed. On the " Resistance Tour", which took place in Haedo on 25 August 2012, the group with Attaque 77 and Carajo was seen.

On September 17, 2012 DENY played together with Mi Ultima Solucion as the opening act for Memphis May Fire at the salon Puyrredon in Buenos Aires. This concert with Memphis May Fire took place as part of their South American tour. The group made ​​an appearance in neighboring Chile headlining the Monster Rock Fest in Santiago de Chile together with Valor Interior, Admira Mi Desastre, Drop the Gun, Sophia The Ocean, Divide y Conquista and Incomarose visitors before 5000 to 7000. In addition, the group first appeared in Uruguay on 11 and 12 October. The concerts were held in Maldonado and Montevideo. On September 4, 2012 published DENY her second music video, this time to the piece EXE from the debut album Reino de tormentas. 2013 -present: DVD "Por Siempre " and second studio album

The first concert of 2013 was held on January 26th in the Groove in Buenos Aires instead. The group played there together with Carajo. On March 23, the group announced that the DVD will be released on May 18 and Por Siempre is hot. On November 24, 2012 Deny played in the Groove a concert that was recorded. The band performed among others with Cirse and Bulldog on in Temperley. On 18 May 2013, the DVD Por Siempre was officially released during a release party at La Trastienda Club in Buenos Aires. The group is currently touring as part of Por Siempre tour of Argentina to promote their DVD, including in Córdoba, Tucumán, Campana and Rosario. The group played on the Innova festival, which took place in Quilmes between the 14th and 16th July 2013.

The musicians also confirmed already working on new material. First pieces were already finished. Between 3 and 6 October 2013, the group played their first concert tour in Brazil smaller. Music style

Deny plays classic post-hardcore, which they mixed with elements of metalcore and screamo. As musical influences, the group is called bands like Alexisonfire and Underoath, as well as Bad Religion and Pennywise are some of the influences of the group. In addition, elements of alternative rock can be found in the songs separated again. Except for three songs, all songs of the band are sung in Spanish. Occasionally, one can also elements of electronic music again. The band's music is more reminiscent of We Came as Romans from the USA. In another interview Nazareno Gomez called bands like Bring Me the Horizon, Motionless in White, While She Sleeps, The Ghost Inside and You Me at Six as more musical influences.

The sound of the band on the EP La Distancia sounds more aggressive than on the 2011 debut album release. The sounds of keyboardist Jonathan Perez stand out clearly in the background of the music. Vocally clear vocals were reduced and the unclear vocals of lead singer Nazareno Gomez comes to the fore.

Tobias Gomez Antolini, brother of the singer Nazareno, also plays in a band. This is called En Nuestros Corazones. Its debut album was originally scheduled for July for publication about Vegan Records. The album was launched on September 16, 2012 on the market.
