Děpoltovice

Děpoltovice ( German Tüppelsgrün ) is a municipality with 329 inhabitants in Okres Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic. The land area is 1287 ha

Geography

Děpoltovice is located in a protected forested area on the southern slopes of Vlčinec ( Wölfling, 978 m) in the valley of Vitický Brook ( Green Brook Chamber ) on the southern edge of the Ore Mountains in the Sokolov Basin. To the west rises the Dvorsky vrch ( Casper Mountain, 573 m).

History

The birth of the village in the reign City of Light is expected to fall in the late Middle Ages. The rule at the time possession of the monastery Tepl under Nicholas Schlick ( 1487-1522 ).

In the existing since 1784 an independent parish of Tüppelsgrün the northerly chamber green was the parish. Previously Tüppelsgrün belonged to the parish City of Light.

Active agriculture was operated by the protected site and the mild climate here, mainly cultivated cereals. However, several residents commuted into the large factories by Neudek.

At the beginning of the 20th century Tüppelsgrün developed into a popular summer resort, including especially the spacious grounds of a lakeside area contributed.

1939 lived in Tüppelsgrün, which then belonged to the district Neudek, over 1,000 German residents.

Community structure

The municipality consists of the villages Děpoltovice Děpoltovice ( Tüppelsgrün ) and Nivy ( Spittengruen ), at the same time also form Katastralbezirke.
