The Aeroporto Internacional de Salvador - Deputado Luís Eduardo Magalhães, better known by its former name Dois de Julho, is 28 kilometers east-northeast of the historical center of Salvador, in the Brazilian state of Bahia. In the ranking of the Brazilian airports by number of passengers in 2011 he took a seventh place. The airport also marks the starting point of the Estrada do Coco. At about 800 meters long street bamboo was planted, which has grown about twelve feet high.

Every day about 40,000 people pass through the terminal, of which 16,000 passengers.
