Derby Cycle

The Derby Cycle Holding GmbH is the largest bicycle manufacturer in Germany and the third largest in Europe. It employed in the financial year 2011/ 12 756 employees ( annual average). She was listed from 2011 to 2012 in the Prime Standard of the regulated market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The delisting took place in January 2013, due to a transfer of minority shares to the majority shareholder Pon Holding Germany GmbH.

History

The result, the company is from the company founded by Heinrich Kalkhoff 1919 Oldenburg company Kalkhoff. In 1988 the company of the Derby Cycle Werke GmbH, the international derby group is taken together with the bicycle brand Kalkhoff. 1992, the conversion into Derby Holding ( Germany ) GmbH. 2002 Mathias Seidler Managing Director of the company.
