Derick Brassard

Derick Brassard ( born September 22, 1987 in Hull, Quebec ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. Since April 2013, he plays for the New York Rangers in the National Hockey League on the position of the center.

Career

Brassard began his hockey career as a 16 -year-old, when he in the course of the 2003/ 04 joined the Drummondville Voltigeurs of the Quebec Major Junior League Canadian Junior Hockey League. In the remainder of the season he played ten games in the regular season and seven more in the subsequent playoffs. He was able to record his first point scorer in the league with an assist.
