Notable Shows

Harald Schmidt had almost complete freedom with respect to the show design.

For single shipments Schmidt was awarded: For example, a fully produced in French on 28 May 2002 show ( with subtitles only during the initial monologue ), for which he received the German - French Journalism Prize. This show en Francaise in 2002 was repeated about a week later on ARTE with an introduction by Nathalie Licard and integrated subtitles for the entire show.

One consequence Schmidt spent completely on a treadmill and in another he explained during a 45 -minute scene homage to the fictional murder of Helmut Zerlett on. Next he tried in an episode of the testimony of a colleague to verify whether it is actually the audience bored, continually watch a silent moderator in how this was employed for several minutes with nothing more than cracking nuts. On the occasion of a Miles Davis evening he hosted on 22 November 2002, the whole consignment with his back to the audience. Here Schmidt took the jazz musician Davis as a model, which also turned away his jazz trumpet at performances played by the audience. Attention was also the first issue after September 11, 2001.

Although the four-hour broadcast with Anke Engelke, Bastian Pastewka Olli Dittrich and a boat trip on the Rhine from Bingen to Boppard valid on 18 September 2003 as a legendary, it was because of a few lengths of the mission but also criticism. Even Schmidt showed up later dissatisfied with the broadcast process. The idea for the show was taken over from the U.S.. Late -night host Conan O'Brien hosted there the first late night show in the world on a boat, on a Circle Line Boat you drove around Manhattan.
