Dieschitz (Slovenian: Deščice ) is an Austrian place in the market town of Velden am Wörthersee, district Villach-Land.

Geography and toponymy

Dieschitz located about 4 km south of Velden ( Vrba ) and consists of two districts: Unterdieschitz = Dieschitz in the narrower sense ( Deščice ) and Oberdieschitz ( Močile ). Some residents derive the name of the then shingled houses from ( Deščice means " small boards "). Economy
