Dimitar Ivankov

Dimitar Ivanov Ivankov ( born October 30, 1975 in Sofia) is a Bulgarian football goalkeeper.

Career

Ivankov began his career at Levski Sofia, for whom he played until 2005 and with whom he once won the Bulgarian championship and five times the national cup three. Subsequently, the goalkeeper joined Kayserispor in Turkey. With this team he was in 2008 Turkish Cup winners. Since June 2008, he plays for the Turkish first division side Bursaspor. In the 2009/10 season he was with Bursaspor Turkish champion and took the club 2010/11 in the Champions League.

For the 2011/12 season Ivankov changes to the Cypriot First Division team Anorthosis Famagusta, after his contract was not renewed at Bursaspor.

Dimitar Ivankov is the goalkeeper of the Bulgarian national team, for whom he has played 50 matches and with whom he took part in the 2004 European Football Championship in Portugal.

Ivankov is one of the few goalkeepers who have each scored a goal. Overall, he has scored 40 goals in his career so far and is thus at number 4 on the top scorers among goalkeepers (as of August 2010).
