Dingboche

Dingboche is a village (community: Khumjung ) in the Khumbu region of Nepal. It is in Chukhung Valley of the Sagarmatha National Park at an altitude of 4340 meters Imja Khola directly on, a tributary of the Dudh Kosi. In Dingboche especially potato is cultivated. Since the 1980s, have emerged with the increase in tourism, a large number of lodges. The town is a stopover for trekkers and climbers on Mount Everest Trek or on the way to Iceland Peak.

Between Dingboche and Lobuche is a " cemetery " for all victims of the ascents of Mount Everest. Each death has been proven with a so-called Steinmann, a stack of piled-up stones, their last respects.
