Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation

The Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation is a government official of the United States of America and head of the Federal Police Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). He reports to the United States Attorney General ( German chief federal prosecutor ), which also represents the Office of the Attorney General in the U.S. government. He also refunded in Nachrichtendiesntlichen Affairs and Counter-Terrorism, the 2004 report by the Intelligence Reform Terrorism Prevention Act introduced to the Director of National Intelligence (DNI ). He is appointed by the president and must be confirmed by the Senate with a simple majority ( " 50 % 1").

The current Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation is James Comey, who on September 4, 2013 Robert Mueller has replaced a 12- year term.

The Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation is the director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the associated sub-divisions of the National Crime Information Center ( NCIC ), the Criminal Justice Information Services ( CJIS ), the Counterterrorism Division ( CTD), the FBI Police ( FBIP ) and the Critical Incident response Group ( CIRG ) with the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) and the famous Hostage Rescue Team (HRT )

J. Edgar Hoover

J. Edgar Hoover was probably the most famous director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He headed the Federal Bureau of Investigation - to 1935 Bureau of Investigation ( BOI) - for 48 years until his death on May 2, 1972, he thus has four times the service time of the date the second- longest serving director Robert Mueller. .
