Dirk-Jan van Gendt

Hendrik Petrus Theodorus " Dirk- Jan" van Gendt ( born July 18, 1974 in Boxtel, North Brabant) is a Dutch volleyball player.

Dirk -Jan van Gendt played from 1996 to 2001 at Geové Vrevok Nieuwegein and was here in 2000 by Dutch masters and 2001 Dutch Cup winner. He then moved to the league rivals Alcom Capelle. His most successful period had van Gendt 2003-2007 at Ortec Rotterdam Nesselande, where he was three times champion ( 2003, 2004 and 2005) and Cup Winners' Cup three times (2005, 2006 and 2007). From 2007 to 2010 he played in Belgium at VC Euphony Asse- Lennik and from 2010 to 2012 in the German Bundesliga at Moers SC. 2012 was the setter back to Belgium to Topvolley Precura Antwerp, where he ended his career in 2013. Van Gendt had 247 missions in the Dutch national team, with whom he participated at the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004.
