Dmitry Meleshko

Dsmitry Wiktarawitsch Mjaleschka (White Russian Дзмітрый Віктаравіч Мялешка, Russian Дмитрий Викторович Мелешко / Dmitri Viktorovich Meleschko; born November 8, 1982 in Minsk, Byelorussian SSR ) is a Belarusian professional ice hockey player who is under contract with HC Dinamo Minsk in the Kontinental Hockey League since 2008.

Career

Mjaleschka dates back to the junior level of HK Junost Minsk, for whom he played between 1998 and 2001 in the East European Hockey League. He then moved to local rivals HK Keramin Minsk, with whom he won the Belarusian Cup competition in 2003 and 2004, the Championship of the EEHL, 2002, the Belarusian Championship and in the same year. He was also 2001, 2003, 2004 and 2005 Belarusian runner with Junost or Keramin Minsk.

Between 2005 and 2007 he went for Salavat Yulaev Ufa in the Russian Super League on the ice before he was obliged by HK Spartak Moscow in 2007. After a year in the Russian capital, he was taken from HK Sibir Novosibirsk for the first season of the Continental Hockey League contract. After 24 KHL games for Novosibirsk Mjaleschka returned in mid-December 2008 back to his hometown, where he has for HC Dinamo Minsk plays in the KHL. Since 2009 he is in parallel with the farm team HK Schachzjor Salihorsk in the Belarusian Extraliga used.

Internationally

For Mjaleschka Belarus took part in the junior level at the U18 World Junior Championship in 2000 and the U20 World Junior Championships in 2001 and 2002. In the senior level, he stood in his country's squad at the World Championships in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 and at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver.
