Dobrkovice

Dobrkovice ( German Dobrkowitz, 1939-1945 Doberman Schukowitzgasse ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located eight kilometers north of Uherský Brod and belongs to Okres Zlín.

Geography

Dobrkovice is located in the southwest of Vizovice mountain country in the valley of Holomňa. To the north rises the Za Dvorem (410 m), in the northeast of Kopec ( 337 m ) south of the Březí ( 376 m) and the Barák ( 383 m) in the southwest of Chlupáč, west of Obce (336 m) and in the northwest the Kopanice ( 349 m).

History

The first written mention of Dobrkouicz took place in 1360, as Vitek Březolupy of the estate acquired by the brothers PRECH and Ješek of Slanec.
