Haugwitz

Haug joke is the name of a branched far, originating from the Meissen old noble family with the same parent company in the Erzgebirge. Since the Middle Ages, the lords of Haugwitz in Saxony, Silesia, Bohemia, Moravia, the County of Glatz, and resident in the Lausitz, and later in East Prussia were. They are tribal and arms related to the von Rechenberg.

History

Originally Haug joke probably came from Saxony. Legends lead the origin back to the Frankish nobility to the Carolingian period. Documented they appear for the first time in 1225 with Sifridus de Hugwitz and begin their regular series in 1474 with Matthew Haug joke.

In East Prussia, the family owned several estates in Heinrichswalde (now Slawsk ), mainly on the Trakehner bred.

Possessions in the county of Glatz

Headquarters of originating from Bohemia branch of the family in the county of Glatz was the Good upper Pish Schukowitzgasse, which belonged to the rule Pish Schukowitzgasse whose first well known name owner 1346 Otto Haug joke was, who was married to Gertrud von Pannwitz and thus got to Friedersdorf. The members of this branch of the family dressed numerous royal and imperial offices. Wenzel Haugwitz served from 1441 to 1454 as a captain of the Glatzer Regional Governor Hynek Kruschina of Lichtenburg. Heinrich von Haugwitz held from 1686 to 1691 the office of Verwesers at the provincial team and Franz Anton von Haug joke was 1741-1742 Governor.

Other villages and Gutsanteile in the possession of those were Haugwitz among others Birgwitz, Dürr Kunz village, Gabersdorf, Gellenau, Koritau, Möhlten, Lower stones and Tuntschendorf.
