Donald Charles Cameron (colonial administrator)

Sir Donald Charles Cameron GCMG KBE ( born June 3, 1872 in Georgetown, † January 8, 1948 in London) was a British civil servant in colonies.

Biography

Cameron was the son of the same father and his wife Allison Isabela man. In 1903, he married Gertrude Gittens. From the marriage of their son Geoffrey Valentine emerged.

Cameron was on 5 March 1925 to January 1931, the second governor of Tanganyika. He was represented temporarily in that capacity in 1929 by Sir James Douglas Jardine. On June 17, 1931, he joined the post as Governor of Nigeria. He held until November 1, 1935 this office.
